Park Road Baptist Church is committed to a gospel that is social in nature. We believe Jesus’ message is not just good news for individuals, but also God’s salvation is to be experienced collectively – as communities change and as systems and institutions transform. In 2024, we are excited about some big projects in the planning stages. We are also gratified to see an uptick in volunteers to existing missions recently, so there are plenty of opportunities for new members and those visiting to become a part of our mission work.

Our church sponsors book giveaways which allow students to choose books they would like to keep (called “Book-A-Palooza”). We have scheduled two such events at our partner school, Starmount Academy of Excellence (a Title I elementary school with about a 70% Hispanic population). We also hope to be able to provide backpack snacks for Starmount in the future. We are researching how to meet other needs at Starmount. We encourage direct child interactions through Augustine Literacy Project, Heart Math Tutoring, and HELPS tutoring.
