“Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6.2

Care Teams – Park Road Baptist began its Care Team ministry in 2002 to assist members in difficult situations. In each instance, a team of church members is organized to help the member-in-need two hours per month. Volunteer duties have ranged from grocery shopping to driving to the doctor to just visiting. The member-in-need and his/her care team determine what can and should be done. Although all situations are kept confidential, this “ministry within the church” has deeply touched the hearts of the givers and the receivers. If you are interested in serving on a care team, please speak to Amy Jacks Dean, pastor, or contact her by email.

Lunch Bunch – Once a month (usually the third Thursday), an informal group meets to discuss issues of grief and share a bag lunch. If you have lost a loved one and would like a support group, please see the Monthly Calendar for specific dates and times.

Counseling – The church ministerial staff is available for counseling appointments or our professional care referrals are made to the Counseling Center at Charlotte, a Baptist-based center of which we are a supporting congregation, and to individual counselors, as needed.

Friends at Home – The church maintains a “Friends at Home” list of elderly church members, and deacons and staff attempt to give extra attention to these special members of our congregation. If you would like to visit or write some of our “Friends at Home,” please call the church office at 704.523.5717.

Women’s Bible Studies – Several groups of ladies enjoy Bible Study together. The topics and timing of the groups range so interested ladies should email Anne Neal or call the church office.

Men’s Bible Study – Every other Friday morning, a group of men gather at Shoney’s on Woodlawn Road for an informal biblical/topical discussion. Men who are interested should email Anne Neal or call the church office for the topic and the next meeting date.

Men’s Fellowship Breakfast – A men’s fellowship breakfast is held periodically with keynote speakers. Please see the Monthly Calendar for upcoming times and speakers.
